BCTA Provincials 2020

Pitt Meadows Gun Club did great at the 2020 BC Provincial Trapshooting Championships held the Labour Day weekend in Vernon B.C.

Matteo Sekela won High Overall Jr with 371/400 and B class in the Preliminary 16yd in a shoot- off. Matteo shot a 99/100 in this event, his best competition score to date! Matteo also took High Jr in all events!
Luca Sekela won the Memorial Handicap Short Yardage award with 92/100 and shot well the whole weekend!
Dave Carter took “B” Class Doubles in the Preliminary event with a 95/100. He also took the Long yardage award in the Preliminary Handicap with a 95/100 as well as well as Long Yardage award in the Memorial Handicap with a 94/100 (Dave shoots from the 27yd marker!).
Dave also took the Federal Ammunition “Best of the Best” inter-club title with a 99/100. Each club nominates a shooter to represent their club in this event, great shooting Dave!
Dan Otway lost a shoot-off for Preliminary “D” Class after putting up a 94/100. Dan took high overall “D” class with 717/800 in the event and won the “D” Class “High All Around” Award with 358/400 after a shoot off. High All Around is based on the combined BC Championship events of 200 Singles from 16yd, 100 Provincial Handicap targets and 100 Provincial Doubles.
Brian Fooks lost a shoot-off for Runner-up in the BC Handicap event along with 5 other shooters that had 90/100 in that event. Brian competed in the Handicap Team event for Ridgedale Gunclub, they won the team event this year!
Jamie White shot his 50,000 registered competition target at the event, congratulations Jamie!
